Its very easy to see ancestral patterns if you look at the top mtDNA and YDNA linages, looking at my aunt versus my uncle you can see how she who is more western oriented have highest R1b-L21* while my uncle have highest I1*...

Your top Ydna matches would fit in perfect for Western Norway.

mtDNA, need to learn more on it. It's very sporadic. I prefer patterns, probably why.

H1 is typical of far northern Europe, so they all fit as such, what i find interesting is the differences in variation, my grandmother has a pull towards Balkan in her YDNA, my Aunt towards Western Europe, its all so clear when you look and compare the frequencies..

Did a break-down of the Y-DNA. I separated the U152 from the main P312 group. P312 includes all P312 including R1b-L21 but not U152.

My R1b-U106 and R1a1a are above average, my P312 and I1 below average, which sort of agrees with admixture results, and E and G and things are a bit above average too. R1b-U152 is slightly above average too i think. Wil be interesting to see how the breakdown of my other family compares:

R1b-U106: 24.74%
R1b-P312 sans U152: 28.06%
R1b-U152: 7.65%
I1: 12.24%
R1a1a: 7.14%
I2b1: 4.08%
E-M78: 4.84%
G2a: 2.29%
Others: 8.92%

P312 (non L21/ non U152) = 17.4%

My make-up of R1b matches that pretty well, although i will split it up into L21 as well soon, as i think i have a bit more L21 than this sample, which makes sense.

Did a break-down of the Y-DNA. I separated the U152 from the main P312 group. P312 includes all P312 including R1b-L21 but not U152.

My R1b-U106 and R1a1a are above average, my P312 and I1 below average, which sort of agrees with admixture results, and E and G and things are a bit above average too. R1b-U152 is slightly above average too i think. Wil be interesting to see how the breakdown of my other family compares:

Palla, you should check where in Asia the O3a3c linage your Cousin belongs to is found.
I tracked my own O2b line to North Eurasia, and my uncles O1a1 to around China or so (coupled with his D1* around Tibet).. i am having problem locating the YDNA linages due to the problems of conversion from 23andme outdated tree to more recent SNP trees used..
