Trapani is the western most province of Sicily. Their history is interesting in that they have seen all of the following groups:

- Elymians, who were Anatolians
- Phoenicians, from Lebanon
- Ancient Greek settlements
- Moorish settlement from Tunisia
- Settlements from northern Italy following the Moors

And I added Spanish to the poll option too just as another point of reference. Where do they fit best?

as usual, generally like Greeks. Some Peloponessians, some more Aegean islands. A few have some detectable Berberish ancestry possibly.

What is interesting is that region had the least Greek settlement of the whole island. But the first people there were Anatolian.

Well, then we have to go into some stuff that will make some Greeks upset again. That is, that some Greeks are not "pure Dorians" or whatever. Some Aegean islanders like Kalymnians and Rhodians(who I spoke of tonight) have Carian ancestry. This is of course very very old and dates before the Greek Dark Ages, but it's still some truth to it.

Who are Carians?

This guy (who is in one of the pictures above) looks very "Greek islander" to me, like a face that I see frequently when I look for pictures from Rhodes.

A lot of them have that Berid look. I could detect some SSA from the faces.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carians

Herodotos, father of History was at least part Carian. So who can say he isn't Greek?

and the fellow in the photo could be Greek islanders, Cretans(who I consider a little bit separate from Aegean islanders) or from some place in Peloponesse.(i think like Southern Lakonian guy)

Not all of them could fit in Greece, actually.

I trust Dandelion's opinion a lot, which one do you think would not fit in Greece especially?

They could fit in Greece, but I wouldn't guess them as Greeks , like in my first guess. The girl looks like blake lively in brunnete version

The guy can easily pass as Greek, the girl is very Italian (according to the Italian tourists I have seen over the years in Greece)

This one to me looks Berber/NW African, and could be Canarian Spanish too.
