Tell us about it :)

Aliens? Bigfoot? Whatever? Can't think of other entertainment right now on this Saturday evening. No beer here :(

And try to convince us if you think it might be real ...

One day when I was but a child I was out hunting quail with my golden retriever when I was witness to perhaps the most horrible beast imaginable. The land we lived on was scrub plains with patches of mesquite and oak with a creek running through it. The day was clear, the weather warm and I had bagged a couple of birds already when we heard something shuffling in the low brush ahead. My dog ran in to scare it out but instead of the expected bird my dog appeared to be engaged with another beast. I heard her whine as if she had been injured and she bolted out of the brush towards me as if her life depended on it. I approached the brush slowly and when I saw a flash of gray fur I leveled my gun and took aim when I saw a rather large rabbit make its way out. Much to my surprise this was no ordinary rabbit but had a sizable 8 point rack cresting its head. Were my eyes to be trusted. The infamous jackalope! I almost shit myself on the spot. I quickly sighted the beast and pulled the trigger but my shot went wide. The jackalope snarled baring its dagger-like fangs at me and charged in my direction. That damn critter was in spittin' distance of me and surely would have torn into me but at that moment I tripped on a root while taking a step back and my dog, faithful friend that she was, lunged at the beast. Laying on my back on the ground I heard an awful commotion of ferocious snarls, growls and howls of pain. All of a sudden my dog was on me licking my face and I sat up and looked around for the corpse but saw nothing. After looking around a bit I had to just assume that the scuffle ended with that horned rabbit fleeing for its life. My dog had a few bites but she made out alright and I am sure she saved my life that day. Still, I always regret missing that shot. Anyway, that is the story of the day I almost bagged me a bonafide jackalope.

I can clearly see they are Aliens over there, no doubt about it! Just one look and it's indisputable! LOL

You wonder how I know? Simple, look at the picture, their weenies are very small, even for a cold climate! LOL

Now I have no doubts Aliens do exist.

in terms of weird and supernatural, i tend to believe that there is most definitely life on other planets. i think of the billions (literally, billions, and probably more) of them out there, there are quite a few that have the conditions to sustain life on them, and that on some of them there are likely somewhat advanced beings (who knows if they are at our level, before, or slightly more advanced).

i dunno about ghosts. i tend to think spirits exist, demons and angels, etc.

other than that, i LOVE creepy TV! Twin Peaks, Supernatural, American Horror Story, and sooooo much more. i love love LOVEEE them :)

(not sure about myths like bigfoot, or werewolves, stuff like that... i dont know much about them!)

haha in general im more biased to believe in supernatural/weird things, but it is an interesting video. some of the cryptozoology seem pretty obviously bullshit, but the bigfoot lore seems more legit to me for some reason. ill have to read more about it :D

not too sure tbh. im sure you know about the 'face on mars'? i think it was called cydonia? either way its entirely possible it could be alien influence there. there has been life on mars before, bacterial strains, etc. im not well read on it but i think mars once had rivers and lakes, and so on.

the x-files had *the* creepiest episode about the face on mars. it basically possessed people. it was based off the real life one

and here it is possessing people creepily

The Enfield Poltergeist is a well documented and fairly convincing case which you can find on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NofBgeNklA). The Hexham Heads story is a good one too:

The Hexham Heads were a pair of small stone heads, about 6 cm high, found in 1971 in the English town of Hexham. The heads became associated with alleged paranormal phenomena, and their exact origin is a point of controversy.

The heads were originally dug up by two boys, Colin and Leslie Robson, who found the heads in the garden in 1971; a number of sources incorrectly give the year as 1972. After the discovery of the heads the Robson family reported strange phenomena, with the heads allegedly being moved when no one was in the room and bottles being mysteriously thrown across rooms. The Dodd family next door also reported phenomena, with one boy's hair pulled in the night and his mother Nelly seeing a half-man, half-sheep figure leaving the house shortly afterwards.

The heads were subsequently given to Dr. Anne Ross, an expert in Celtic artefacts. According to Dr. Ross's own account, she woke up one morning and saw a part-animal, part-man figure walking out of the room; she followed it downstairs and saw it heading towards the direction of the kitchen, but then lost track of it. A few days later her daughter Berenice told her that, after returning home from school, saw a large, dark, werewolf-like figure on the stairs that jumped over the banisters and into a corridor before vanishing. Ross also reported the feeling of a cold presence, her study door bursting open with no apparent cause and another apparent sighting of a dark figure. Knowing of Nelly Dodd's experience, Dr. Ross equated all of this phenomena with the Hexham heads and the incidents allegedly stopped when she removed every Celtic head in her possession out of the house, along with the two Hexham heads.

A man named Desmond Craigie reported that he was the creator of the heads, making them in 1956 for his daughter while he was living in the house later occupied by the Robson family. Craigie, who worked for a company that dealt in concrete at the time he allegedly created the heads, made some replicas to demonstrate his claim. The original heads were analysed by Professor Dearman of the University of Newcastle, who concluded that the items had been moulded artificially rather than carved.

The original heads were later lost, their current whereabouts are unknown.

FROM THE FORTEAN TIMES WEBSITE MESSAGE BOARD:

Posted: 28-09-2011 16:24 Post subject: The Hexham Heads

I'd just like to clarify a few points regarding the Hexham Heads. I am one of the daughters of the Robson family and it was my two younger brothers who unearthed the heads.

They actually discovered them in late May/early June of 1971. I know this as factual as I was on my honeymoon in Scotland when the boys found them an took them to Hexham Abbey to see if the priest could identify them. Initially they were thought to be Roman and ended up at the Newcastle Museum of Antiquities. It was early 1972 when we were paid a visit from someone from the Museum but I can't recall his name. We were told then that they were assumed to be of Celtic origin from about 200BC and that the human head had been worshipped by the Celts and that they would place decapitated heads bought back from battles and place them on posts around the settlement as protection. They apparently also carved heads from stone and place them on pillars in their temples.

The half man half wolf apparition had been reported from other Celtic sites and according to the guy from the Museum there apparently was a site in Germany where the locals would not go near because of similar sightings.

When the heads were in the possession of my family we placed them on a shelf and every morning we noticed that they had moved position to face the spot where they had been found. To ensure no one had tampered with them through the night I decided I would place them under my bed where no one could access them but the next morning they had moved from the top right of the bed to the bottom left - as near as possible to the spot where they had been discovered. Crazy but this is all true.

My elder brother received a call recently as he now owns the family home and it was from someone who is making a film about the heads but I don't know any further details. The last time we new the whereabouts of the heads was that some guy from the local TV news had them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The story took on a new twist in 1972 when Desmond Craigie - then a truck driver - announced that the Celtic heads were actually a mere 16 years old. They had not been fashioned as votive offerings by a head-hunting Celt - for, Craigie claimed, he himself had made them as toys for his daughter, Nancy. He explained that he had lived in the house in Rede Avenue that was now the Robsons' home for around 30 years; indeed, his father had remained a tenant there until the previous year. One day, his daughter had asked him what he did for a living. At that time, Craigie worked with artificial cast stone, making objects such as concrete pillars. In order to explain to his daughter what he did during the course of his working day, he made three heads especially for her in his lunch break, and took them home for her to play with.

'Nancy played with them as dolls,' he said. 'She would use the silver paper from chocolate biscuits as eyes. One got broken and I threw it in the bin. The others just got kicked around and must have landed up where the lads found them.'

Embarrassed by the publicity that his own handiwork had attracted, Desmond Craigie said he was concerned merely to set the record straight. Speaking of the heads, he said: 'To say that they were old would be conning people.'

No, I never actually saw any sort of apparition myself, thankfully. I think I would still be traumatised to this day if I had. I know Mrs Dodd who did see the apparition was in a bit of a state to say the least when she was telling us of the night it occurred. Unfortunately, both Mr & Mrs Dodd and my father and mother have all passed away now but it is something none of them forgot.

My mother had quite a few people contact her over the years as the story of the Heads was featured in quite a few books and local publications.

As for Mr Craigie's claim that he made the heads, I personally could not believe that anyone would make such objects for a child to play with as they were quite scary looking with sunken eyes and gaping mouths.

Something paranormal happened to me the other day. It really freaked me out and I haven't been able to explain it.

I was in the shower and totally alone in the house. My partner had had a shower hours before but has tiny feet anyway. When I went to step out of the shower onto the shower mat on the floor there was already a wet footprint on it I noticed as I was about to put my foot down. I had definitely not gotten out of the shower before and I was alone in the house. I placed my foot next to the footprint to create a second wet footprint (the mat was camel coloured so became darker where my foot had been) and then lifted it to compare the prints. They were almost certainly the same size. The first print still looked wet and fairly recent I guess it might take about 30 minutes to an hour to completely dry.

I can't explain this one.

Other weird stuff has happened to me. I'm an avid reader of Fortean Times and used to spend a lot of time on an unexplained-mysteries forum before they banned me for being right-wing.

One day in 2003 I woke up with my left ear itching. I touched with a finger the zone (upper back part of my ear, between the head and the outer cartilage) and noted a thin long scar (the tissue folded outwards), which itched for some days softly. When that dissappeared, a tiny thing, like a small hard dot, stayed against the outer cartilage zone, an object under the skin. I checked for some data and found out it is reported as a spot for implants. When a light is put through the ear, a black spot is visible.

I see dead people .

Last week I saw a zombie -a peaceful one -woke up from a hole at the backyard of an old house ..walked to an iron gate, opened it and gone..
I don't know what does it mean. She was not scary but sad ..

This is not the first time I see ghosts, dead people or graveyards (once it was me, buried into a cave like place with bugs and scorpions over me i can still feel wet soil and once I was sharing same burial place with my dead paternal grandma )

..I am not busy with supernatural stuff but somehow I keep dreaming about them..Thankfully they don't appear as scary figures but quiet ,aestetic but sad beings. These dreams can take ten over ten points with their realism ,colors ,details ,very realistic, it takes me time to return normal reality.

I find Lost's concept of the afterlife interesting

http://cdn1.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/lost-header.jpg

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJOuMkIoIRs

Each person in this “purgatory universe” created a reality for themselves based on their lingering issues in life – that which they could not “let go” of.

In Lost, for Jack it was Daddy issues; Kate, the guilt of murder; Sawyer, the quest to find “Sawyer” and be a better man; Sayid, the unrequited love of Nadia; Charlie, looking for something “real” in his hollow life of fame, etc…

Everyone was still attached to their Earthly concerns – but when they made contact with those people they’d met on the Island, they remembered the journey and growth they had experienced because of the Island, and could finally understand the connections and “purpose” brought into their damaged lives by being there. With that greater understanding of themselves, they were each ready to “leave” or “move on” to the next phase of existence – i.e., the true afterlife.
