What genes are they comparing. When you say pigmentation do you only mean skin color? These are only genes associated with pigmentation anyways. Just because you have 70% of the same genes(alleles in SNPS?) as a Nigerian person does not mean you have very similar skin color. Three main mutations associated with European light skin(originated in the near east spread to Europe with farming and probably went through selection to become dominate) are absent from east Asia(even though they have pale skin) and that may make east Asians have a higher percentage of similarity to Nigerians in pigmentation genes.
