Editor’s note: A simple search using an internet search engine would have saved the police in Clerment, Florida, a lot of time and money.

A break in the mystery of who is behind the Obama Joker posters has been told to investigators by the teenager in the Florida case. Apparently there is a nationwide contest sponsored by a radio talk show host named Alex Jones. Jones hosts a syndicated show on the Genesis Communication Network, and has sponsored the contest that will give $1,000 to the person who has demonstrated they have hung up the most posters.

Jones posted on his blog about the contest and had a file of the poster that can be downloaded and printed out for people who wanted to partake in the “contest.” The host was also giving out 2nd and 3rd place prizes in the form of $500 and $200. For the runner up, participants could receive an original Alex Jones “Obama as Hitler” piece of artwork. Jones urged people not to place the posters on government property or commit acts of vandalism because it would “diminish the message of the Obama Joker poster.

There have been no word of further police action in other states and Jones has not commented publicly on the breaking news in the central Florida case. According to reports, the first case of the Obama Joker poster occurred in Los Angeles and now has spread to countless communities across the United States. Due to the fierce debate on healthcare reform, the President has been the focus of controversial comments and posters depicting his policies as Orwellian, socialistic, fascist, and the president himself as Adolf Hitler. There has been no comment from the White House on the Joker poster rendition of the President.

I don't get it. Why was there any police action at all?

As noted in another thread, Times had Obama as a joker in their cover much earlier.
