Yes it is. If there are any exceptions they are of the sort that proves the rule.

The most basic understanding of history and social science would lead to the conclusion that conspiracies are not how the world operates. I am sure that a few conspiracies have been attempted but they are unlikely to produce their intended results. They certainly could not be effective for very long.

I do not believe that the cover stories one hears are the only truth, but the underlying factors are long term economic structures and processes that are not so colorful or easily grasped as the simple-minded dramas of individual villains and sacred oaths that animate your average conspiracy theorist.
