Brisighelli et alia (December 2012) stated in their Autosomal section that Italians averaged 9.2pc of Subsaharan African ancestry against 1.5pc on average in central and northern Europe and 7.1 pc in other Mediterranean countries.

This study is being discussed in other forums - more fodder for extreme intra-white racists. The methodology seems faulty, particularly for Iberia, where Galicia apparently recorded 7.1%. :picard1:

Further, I would think the Italian SSA is quite old and would not affect phenotype. unlike the regional West Asian and Southeast Asian components.

Please check your link.

It's a PLOS ONE Open Access, Peer-Reviewed document called "Uniparental Markers of Contemporary Italian Population Reveals Details on Its Pre-Roman Heritage" by F. Brisighelli et alia (2012).

It also includes autosomal information.

You may have to follow the link from Dienekes Pontikos' Blogspot.

How can there be Southeast Asian to begin with? Isn't that Vietnamese/Cambodian/Burmese blood?

The y-dna and mtdna really are better markers, just all there is to it.

I doubt the african as in SSA content is that high but the north african and middle east content is more like 20%.

Autosomaly, North, and Central Italians have not more than trace amounts of SSA. Southern Italians have around 1-2%. There was also another thread which discussed the problems of this study.

Just because most of italy is in Southern Europe, they have sub Saharan nigger in them. Well with all those africans coming into Europe now, many Europeans will end up with nigger in them!
