Does anyone see some non-Euro in him? If he has ancestors from colonial times then he definitely must have some minor admixture. Personally I don't see anything that stands out but he does have a very common White-Hispanic phenotype to me. His look is very familiar.

As far as I know all of his ancestry is from Piemont, mother included, so it's not surprising he looks fully European, because genetically he is.

totally agree, if you tell me about Gianluigi Buffon maybe not, but Bergoglio is way above average in spanish resemblance should you rank him with all italian population
