View Full Version : Should I shave my head?

I have a hankering to shave my head. It's hotter than Hell here in Massachusetts. On the one hand, I've been trying to grow my hair out mad long, but it's been growing for 1 year and I'd have to wait another year for it to even be shoulder-length. On the other hand, my other favorite do is a shaved head, it looks slick, and it gives an instant confidence boost. The fact that I wear glasses, and don't have another alternative (I cant touch my eyeball for contacts) detracts from my overall good looks with this shaggy awkward stage.

Should I shave it real short, keep growing out my hair and suffer through the awkward stage, or just plain get a hair cut?

I vote, don't shave, although a nice hair cut would be cooler and also much more sophisticated.

suffer through, I'm thinking that your headshape wouldn't suit shaven very well, besides long looks better!

You can only shave if you are a balding dolichocephal, just like me in fact. Otherwise, no. :D

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! No cutting of hair! Suffer through it, as Thrymmie says! It won't drive you so crazy after the summer is through and it's cooler outside. Once shaven you'll regret it and be saying the same thing this time next year. :(

You've got a good length of it already. Just be a bit more patient. :)

About contacts, you know I had the same problem when I was younger but once the optician showed me how to insert them properly I lost that aversion to touching my eyevball. It really isn't bad. Honest! :)

I think shaved heads, or at least closely cropped hair, looks very professional and classy on a guy. I wonder where I got an idea like that...

Hi everyone I am the wolf. All males should grow the hair and beard long. In most ancient Germanic societies, the only males who were clean shaven were the Thralls (slaves) who were forced to shave all of their hair in order to make them more spiritually weak and dismissive. I say bask in the glory of your locks.

They won't let you leave the damn doctor's office if you can't put them in. My eyes are crazy sensitive. The doctor barely got one in one eye! I couldn't put the other in, so I had to go home without. :(

It's not like getting an Rx for Heroine or something. Bureaucrats!

I rescind my previous post. You're right, long hair is much better than a shaved head...

I voted no, your hair is fine the way it is in my opinion. I've shaved my head so many times, basically bald with the blade once, and still I prefer medium length hair.

That's not really what I'm thinking of, that's just glorified mulletry right there.

Shave it off if you're curious, after all it's just hair, it *will* grow back if you don't like it... :D

Yeah, but like Aemma said, I'll be complaining about the same thing this time next year... Must...be...patien(huff,puff)..t!

I just need contacts anyhow.

I don't think completely shaved hair would fit your style, but short cut is not a bad idea.

I received my only physical compliment EVER when I had a shaved head, so it can definitely work. It all depends on how it complements your other features, and of course it depends on the shape of your head.

I say go for it.

Up until about 6-7 years ago I had extremely long hair which became difficult to manage and at that time my hair had already began to recede. I now have a shaved head and a long and unkempt beard. Try that look if you wish but above all To thine own self be true!

You dare to provoke me? Just been up in my room pumping. My right arm is so sore I must have smacked at least five people this week.

Don't shave, it suits you actually.

Don't shave, it's hard to pull off that look. Just get a haircut where it's short but able to gel it for a hair style.

Unless if you want to get the skinhead look :D

After you grow that long beard shave your head - voila viking look!

Its not going to suit that type of head and face.

Shaved head looks best on robust brachycephals.

Yeah, shaving your head, if you are not bald or going bald or in the military, is a good idea like going down to the ghetto to smoke some crack is a good idea. After you shave your head be sure to smoke a big fat crack rock for me. While you are high on crack, broke from spending all your money on crack, with your sexy shaved head, all the girls in a 100 miles radius will automatically be zeroing in on your cock due to your incredible sexiness.
