View Full Version : SICK: Sweden’s New Gender-Neutral Pronoun: Hen

Sweden is beyond gender equality. In fact, it seems to have moved past the entire idea of gender itself. Already a land of gender-neutral toys, the progressive Scandinavian nation is applying the same principles to the construct that divides of the sexes. For some Swedes, the idea of gender itself, of separating the sexes by seemingly-outdated social roles and characteristics, is not what a society based on equality does. The gender neutral movement recently scored a big victory when the pronoun "hen" was added to the online version of the country’s National Encyclopedia. The term is defined as a "proposed gender-neutral personal pronoun instead of he [han in Swedish] and she [hon].

I really recommend the whole article that is linked.

Such a sick society. Makes it even desirable for Somalis and Middle Easteners to replace them. They are less unhealthy.

LOL, I've never heard anyone use that word irl..

the minority of loud extremists who proposed this is seen as a joke among Swedes.

So is it like "it" in English?

Perhaps.

Seems like if you created a pronoun form of the "Das" article in German. Or taking the third gender in Russian and using it to people.

The linguistic/cognitive destruction is a further demonstration of the material deconstruction Sweden is suffering.
One of the most revolting things I've seen so far. All their sick mentality can only create what diseases always create: Death. In this case, the death of Swedish society.

No is neutral so you do not offend the one to whom you are talking.
For example, you talking with He to a homosexual which consider himself a woman and you offend him.
I do not see what is so bad in this measure,I find it normal.

It's just the linguistic part of all the societal change. Read the full article I linked and you'll see.

Well in this case Hungarian language must be evil, since there's no equal for han or hon only for hen.
When I started to learn English it was a hard time to bear my mind that fuck yeah there's no equal for "ő" which means hen, only he or she what don't exist in Hungarian. It was sick and incomprehensible to me, that why he frickin hell should I always declare whether I talk about a female or a male since I thought if gender is important it will be revealed by the context anyway.

Hungarian, Finnish, Estonian, Persian, Turkish and some other languages are gender neutral.

I would not consider any of those societies feminist, quite the opposite ;)

The motives behind it are indeed sickening. People are getting pathetic now, I'm surprised such idiots don't start denying the existence of penises and vaginas. :picard1:
Maybe they'll invent 'pagina' as a new gender neautral word for the reproductive parts. ;) I say it as a joke, but I bet some muppet will actually propose it.

This.

It is proposed by a small vocal group that few people listen to and it have very little relevance in the real world.

Yeah most people i know literally hate's the word, the people who uses it and people who think giving your daughter pink clothes only is degrading. It's mostly the pc-mafia = media who wants to use it.

If I hear a person use the word hen I carefully explain how retarded their views of the world are. It is a bit difficult however when you read it, you are not able to hit the person who wrote it.

Pink used to be considered masculine colour in the past.:D

Yes but today if u give your daughter pink clothes and your son blue clothes that is in some way degrading and sexist.

What happened to the land of the Vikings? When they do this kind of thing, males usually become more emasculated than the women becoming masculated.

So peoples views on Swedes are basically the same view most Swedes have about people from Stockholm.

So, those outside the big city are more traditional? That's good. When I think of Sweden I think of Vikings and hockey.

And they think of people from Stockholm when they portray Swedes. I doubt they would have the same view if the visited a smaller town in the northern part for example.

I had a friend when growing up who was not allowed to play with "violent" toys or watch American cartoons. His mom freaked out at my mom once cause when he was over he had watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:P

To me they seem to live in a bubble in Stockholm, which is very different from what i experience down south especially when you are outside the cities.

Genuine Marxist doctrine right there, teaching white Swedish kids to be pussified in front of the immigrant threat.

All immigrant kids always make sure to be allowed to play games good for your health, while Swedish kids can´t play anything

Lol, dont exaggerate, that is up to the parents to decide. It's not like they make a difference in schools or kindergarten to what kids can play with depending on their heritage.

Rural north Swedes maybe :p

The practical school in my town was almost empty during the hunting season I remember (I had some telecommunication lessons there). And most of the students there were rural people.

Same with London here, it's in love with itself and people there don't think beyond the needs of London.

Yes and I've noticed this is one of the problems Hungarians have when learning English ... quite funny :p
