Emigration rate continues to grow in Armenia

The number of emigrants from Armenia continues to exceed the number of immigrants to the country, Armenianreport wrote.

165,275 people left Armenia in the first quarter of this year, compared to 141,192 arrived; the negative balance comprised 24,083 people.

According to the Chief Directorate of Civil Aviation, 1,935 flights and landings was committed in Zvartnots airport in the first quarter of 2013, compared to 2150 during the same period last year.

Despite that, the number of people who left Armenia exceeded the same figure for the same period of 2012, when it comprised 164,880 people.

During the reporting period, 7101 departed from and 4316 passengers arrived at Shirak Airport of Gyumri city.

I read that The number of ermenian diaspora is higher than those living ermenia.Yes it is. Armenians from Armenia are joining their brothers in diaspora every day as they increasingly grow disillusioned to the nepotism, corruption, kleptocracy, economic problems and unemployment in Armenia.
