Opinions are diffrent. I for myself never liked any national anthem, but the german one always gave me ear cancer.

But a interesting fact, what young germans and foreigners never know is that the german national anthem consists of 3 strophes, but only the 3rd one is sung.

The real german national anthem begins with the 1st strophe

As a composer of classical music myself, I have always been fascinated by national anthems (and have even wrote a few pieces styled like national anthems myself). My favorite, by far, however, is Haydn's "Kaiserhymne" which was used in Austria Hungary. Am I correct that this is the same music (albeit with different lyrics) as the current German anthem? I thought I read that somewhere, but I never researched it further though.

I first heard/saw it during Otto Hapsburg's funeral in Vienna a few years back, which I found on YouTube (of course, in the wonderful, culturally rich USA, they would never air such a thing [sarcasm]). The pipe organ blasting through St. Stephan's combined with the majority of Europe's royal heads of state singing together was a pretty fascinating sight.

It is called Crested Crane and is the national bird of Uganda. :D

Cranes pick a partner and mate for life. Like the native Ugandans, they are communal. They roost in large groups, sometimes up to 200 birds and this is one of the reasons that the bird is displayed on the Ugandan flag. A certain reason is that its plumage conveniently contains all the colors of the flag.

The crane is depicted on the flag with one leg up to represent that Uganda is always moving forward. Sometimes is not sure what this “forward” leads to. lol

I like the US anthem as well... the US anthem originates from the exact same tune of a traditional popular British drinking tune called 'The Anacreontic Song', just different lyrics that were later changed to the Star Spangled Banner later in the US.
