It's self explanatory, would you like to be forever young? Never die? Why, or why not?

Listen to this it will help you ponder this important subject

No,
A)I'd grow tired of that shit after a while
B)It's not like I ever looked youthful and cheerful even in my teens many thought I was well in my 30s, I remember saying I was 15 getting the following Response "Wait....? Dude, I thought you even had kids already"
C) I kinda want to see my hair turn at least 60% grey.

Maybe! Have you been paying attention to the question? Listen to the song again, as many times as you need to to understand! Thank you for your cooperation! :P

Thank you! Finally someone who isn't an annoying troll! LOL

Exactly, how would I feel if all those I love around me got old and perished and I was still there. This is tough.

Being young forever? That sounds interesting but what would it happen if the human race is extinguished and you're still alive, no one could stand this situation though

That's the downside of negative thinking, think positive, if your physical body never aged that means you never would need adult diapers! Isn't that reason enough to want to be forever young?

I want to die when I reach old age. death is necessary for humanity, but before that, I want to live a full life.

I love the song Forever Young by the German group Alphaville. Marian Gold (Hartwig Schierbaum) does a splendid job on vocals.

“I want to be forever young!”

Good thing is that as long as I have an imagination, I always will be.

To want to be forever young, or to desire immortality, is a spiritual thirst coming from the soul wishing to express itself and yes, I subscribe. :thumb001:

Well you are still relatively young and if in good health I presume. Do you think you gonna feel the same when you are 80 years old? :P

Yes, I would. Human lifespan isn't nearly enough to see and learn what there is out there. Besides as civilizations advance and times change, there is more and more to see, so you won't be bored as some people have suggested.

Immortality is not for everyone. Boredom is the bane of the immortal . Unless yoiu are immune to boredom and have an interest which requires forever to pursue to completion, immortality is not for you. If you have limitless insatiable curiosity, eternity isn't long enough. Leos Janacek wrote an opera, "The Makropolis Affair" about an immortal operatic soprano, Elena Marty who has "been there, done that" for 300 years and is on the brink of madness from sheer boredom. This would be the fate of too many aspirants to immortality.

Eternal youth, or, at least a cessation of aging, is essential to happy immortality. I, inter alia, suspect that there is a "clock" somewhere in the body, probably in the brain, which determines, e.g. when we lose our deciduous teeth, when puberty or menarche occurs , when menopause occurs in the female, etc. If this clock could be stopped, aging would stop. The body would never change.

Immortality could only result, however, if all pathogenic and degenerative diseases had been overcome. Even then, the "immortality" would apply only to NATURAL death . The "immortal" would still be vulnerable to accidents and homicide.

If all of one's memories and the personality could be copied into the solid-state "brain" of an android, consciousness and thought could persist indefinitely, giving rise to a kind of atificial immortality. This could be achieved long before biological immortality was feasible. To the easily bored, this would be Hell.

I think it would be unbearable. To see all your beloved people grow old, sick and die,but you remain untouched by time and alive,is a thing no one could live with. What's the use of being immortal when there would be no one to share it with?

Nope, like everything that has a cycle, life has a cycle aswell.

After life comes death, and after death rebirth and so on.

Life is cyclical, as the seasons. Birth, Growth, Decay and Death. Each stage is beautiful. I would not like to go back, but neither go further. I'll wear my silver hairs with pride in time though.
