North West England, fits in perfect with their Western & Northern cousins, as in Ireland, Wales & Scotland. It gets more German looking, the more South East, you go from there.

Generally true, I think. But I reckon you'd have to get right into Kent/Essex/Sussex to actually notice a difference.

Would those Lancashire people not stand out at all in northern Scotland?
