The party had the support of 6.7 percent of the electorate, according to the Ipsos poll, published in the Dagens Nyheter daily.

The party peaked at 10.2 percent in February and has been in free fall since then as the party has fallen out of the media spotlight.

"It is very much due to the fact that SD are not as visible. The focus has been on the two major parties, especially the Social Democrats in connection with their congress," said Ipsos analyst Johanna Laurin Gulled to the newspaper.

The Sweden Democrats remain a percentage point above their result in the 2010 election although their goal of becoming the country's third largest party would appear in jeopardy.

The Green Party are once again the third largest party, behind the Moderates and the Social Democrats, with 8.2 percent of the vote.

The Christian Democrats remained in the doldrums with 3 percent, a full percentage point below the threshold for parliamentary seats.

The Social Democrats have only been slightly impacted by the recent turmoil surrounding Omar Mustafa's short-lived tenure on the executive board, dropping 0.9 percent to 33.7 percent.

The Moderates climbed 1.5 points to 29.5 percent. The Liberal Party (Folkpartiet) polled 6.6 percent, Centre Party 4.8 percent and the Left Party 6 percent, all recording small climbs.

A change to the Swedish constitution to require a parliamentary vote on the post of prime minister following the next election in 2014 election adds extra importance to the battle to become the third largest party.

Reading quickly in Wiki the political parties of Sweden and what they stand for, it is clear there is no hope for that country.

According to Ipsos, SD had only 2,9% of the votes in August 2011
One can't simply thrust them, their results seem to be more or less skewed in every poll.

They have 11% at the Demoskop.

I honestly am not SD fan (especially the more they grow more extremists they will become), but I'd like to see them taking 15% of the Parliament next year. And with this current government falling out.

Saying they like SD is socially suicide, maybe more will work in the shadows

I'm fairly certain it'll be the third biggest party judged by seats in the Riksdag, our parliament in Sweden, by the next election in 2014 regardless of what some biased newspaper voter polls say. :)

13.6% in the newest poll by Sentio. Which means a rise of 2.1% compared to the last month in this particular poll.
