Mindblowing fact:

Malta's population: 450,000.

Iceland's population: 300,000.


I've seen Malta way southeast of Sicily too.

I'd have assumed Malta was further west. I assumed it was directly in between Tunisia and southwest Sicily.

Maltese people's ancestry is mostly from Agrigento which is in southwest Sicily so I expected Malta to be right near them.

If you look at Maltese names, most of them, yours included, are from Agrigento or Caltanissetta, in South-West-Central Sicily. Which makes sense, since ya'll look more like Western Sicilians than Eastern ones, geography be damned.

His is from Caltanissetta -- San Cataldo area.

Most Maltese surnames are from Agrigento and the area near Gela in Caltanissetta, or from Palermo:
