Marine archaeologists have resumed working on an Elizabethan wreck off the coast of Alderney.
The unnamed ship was discovered by a local fisherman in 1977 and two loaded cannons which were ready to fire are currently being restored in York.
The exploration of the wreck, which is led by Mensen Bound, was halted last year following the death of a diver.
The ship is thought to have sunk in 1592, possibly after an encounter with one of the many reefs off Alderney.
