Bosnia officially requested the extradition of Albanian mafia kingpin Naser Keljmendi, said spokesperson for EU law mission in Kosovo

Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) made an official request on Monday to European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) to extradite Naser Keljmendi, leader of the Bosnian branch of the Muslim Albanian mafia clan Keljmendi, who was arrested last week in Kosovo on charges of drug trafficking and organized crime.

EULEX spokesperson Irina Gudeljevi- told AA reporter that the law mission had referred the request to Kosovar Ministry of Justice.

"EULEX officials in Kosovar Ministry of Justice are responsible for establishing contact between related actors. We are not authorized for extradition under Kosovar laws. Kosovar officials will make the decision," Gudeljevi- said.

Last week, a pre-trial judge at the Basic Court in Pristina ordered one month detention on remand for Naser Kelmendi.
Keljmendi is described by Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Agency (OCCRP), a network of investigative centers and media operating across Europe and Asia, as "a Sarajevo businessman who came to Bosnia-Herzegovina from Kosovo after the war in BiH and built what investigators describe as a Balkan criminal empire.-"

Keljmendi is identified as a criminal by BiH and several other Balkan countries, as well as the United States.

Hmm, why would Bosnia's jurisdiction be more valid? Were most of this man's crimes committed there?
