I'll summarize my known background simply this way:

Grandparent #1: North German/Danish
Grandparent #2: Hungarian
Grandparent #3: Southern Italian (Neapolitan / Calabrian)
Grandparent #4: Germany (Bavaria)

Attached are my SNP ("deep ancestry"?) results.

Here are my STR (more recent ancestry?) results at 27 markers:

It seems my Near Eastern and Caucasus admixture is too high to attribute to my Southern Italian grandfather alone. It is also too high to attribute to a Hungarian admixture with Khazars or Transcaucasus people over 1000 years ago, or even Cumans in the Middle Ages (and my Asian admixture is quite low, with only some Paleo-Siberian attributable to a Karelian ancestor).

In the past week I have systematically compared my results to others, including Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews, and various North Africans and Near Easterners. What is emerging is that closest resemblance to my West Asian profile is with Armenians - and guess what? I have an ancestry match on one of these services with an Armenian person.

No idea what the story is on it, but it looks like I am about 5-10% Armenian.

With all honesty it looks like DNA tribes have done their usual hash-job. Would be better to invest in FTDNA or 23&me in future and also use 3rd party tools.

Frankly i wouldn't know where to start because there's not much solid to work with in your test results lol. Being alternately Bedouin and Spanish is not at all representative of your actual ancestry.

Did FTDNA and will be doing 23andme. Will also do GEDmatch soon. I've looked at from different angles including STR matches and I think I'm onto something...
