Armenian Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan on 19 May around 11:00 arrived in a military unit of Novemberyan to view the details of the murder of serviceman Lux Stepyan
According to newspaper Aravot ("Morning"), villagers of Voskepar said that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in this segment of the border opened fire on the helicopter carrying the minister that was flying pretty low, 1news.az reports.
Ohanyan left the military unit in about two hours and returned to Yerevan.
Spokesman of the Armenian Defence Ministry Artsrun Hovannisyan neither confirmed nor denied the shelling of the helicopter. He said only that the helicopter has no traces of bullets.
Commenting on this information deputy spokesman of the Azerbaijan Defence Ministry told 1news.az that this information was spread by the Armenian side.
"Let them clarify whether or not this information corresponds with reality," he said.
