Tachia Newall (born 10 January 1990) is a British actor, best known for playing the cocky pupil Bolton Smilie in the BBC drama series Waterloo Road. He attended Chorlton High School and then studied drama at Xaverian College while he also studied Music Tech at the Manchester College Shena Simon Campus which was a part time course. He started acting in Waterloo Road at the age of 17. He was highly encouraged by his parents and family as he cites that they were his driving force. He is mix race being Somali and Irish In 2010, he also appeared as Kyle, Rosie Webster's boyfriend in Coronation Street.

Very atypical. Mixes of Cushitic and European look absolutely caucasoid. This guy looks like a mulatto. But perhaps his somali parent was of low class Bantu origin...

really nothing. that hair line over the forehead is totally Afram/West African/Bantu, not Somali at all, not even the Blacks in Central African Republic or Chad/Sudan have it. so I say he's probably not Somali or if he is he must be mixed with West African origins too, which are dominant in his mulatto type
