There has been an abundance of sockpuppet accounts, i.e. someone who is not banned under their regular account makes another one and posts on both.

This is NOT allowed. Any and all sockpuppet accounts that can be clearly linked to another user will be banned. Your regular account however will be left intact.

If you have a working account, you do not need another. So don't make them please.
