The fashion of the 20s-30s was the most intricate imo. The fashion of the 40s through the 60s was the most elegant, however. After the late 60s, fashion became much more forward and loose. Hippie counter-culture, disco, 80s pop music (Michael Jackson, Madonna) with big curly hair and finally 90's grunge and alternative clothing made fashion more of a statement than just clothing.

Anyway, I agree, I kinda miss the more serious and elegant fashion of the 40s-50s. I mean, current fashion trends can be disastrous and off-putting, as perfectly manifested by emo fashion and the terrible hipsters.

Yup, it can be too random. I also pity fashion victims who follow all the latest meaningless fashion trends. I will probably never fully comprehend why those people gain pleasure from doing so...
