It has to be between the USA and the UK, but I suppose Germany, France, Italy and a few others deserve a mention.

Poland is not really popular country in terms of musical legacy, so that's why I don't mention my country.

Britain for Rock and Germany for Classical Music. I would also include Poland, Russia and the US.

Ok. :)

Well I think Russia is worthy mentioning, no?

France and Austria
IMO contributions made by "Austrians" before the united Germany existed I think should be seen as 'German' contributions or equally between Germany and Austria. :wink

Yeah I think so. Czech it out;

Russian music went through a long history, beginning from ritual folk song and the sacred music of the Russian orthodox church. The 19th century saw the rise of highly acclaimed Russian classical music, and in 20th century major contributions by various composers such as Igor Stravinsky as well as Soviet composers, while the modern styles of Russian popular music developed, including Russian rock and Russian pop.

UK, home of classic rock, heavy metal etc... USA has produced some good bands and i think Germany and Scandinavia have produced some good ones. I remember there was a couple of French bands i liked some time back too, but aren't really known for their good music i guess. Might also mention Finland and the Baltic states. I don't know that much music from countries outside of there so there could be some really decent stuff out there i just haven't come across yet.
