Theoretically, when winter comes, its always Russia.

But Tr00thfully this may not be the case at all here. It all depends on the supply line and if its maintained. China could easily have done this and of course they have their numbers. It would probably come down to military technology though, and cause of that I'd still give USSR the edge here.

Prior to Nixon's and Kissinger's reopening of China to the world, certainly the USSR. In the late 1970s and 1980s China would have won after a war of attrition.
