Greek Orthodox Christians especially those in Jordan consider themselves to be Bedouins. They also lived in the same culture as the Bedouins, and one of the Christian Bedouin tribes in Jordan is called Hejazeen and the other the Akasheh. Interestingly they never had a conflict with their Muslim neighbours and often lived side by side. These Christian Bedouins accepted the Greek Orthodox. Also the surname Badawi which means Bedouin is common among Greek Orthodox Lebanese.

He does not look like them, but he is founder of Arab nationalism, that has been abused wrongly by Assad and Saddam which basically made them do their own versions and applications. The ideology proved destructive.

Anyway as for classification Armenoid/Med very common in the Levant. However Arabid types do predominate in the Jordanian Christians. Many Syrian/Lebanese Greek Orthodox are also of Bedouin stock and they will tell you this. Christian Jordanian Orthodox see more in commonality with Muslims than other Middle Eastern Christian communities that's because they are of Arabian stock. As is stated by Paul Heck, which rings true to this day.

Jordanian christians are Levantine Arabs, I don't deny that. they must be from the original Ghassanids who were christian and were of those who ddin't convert to Islam. It would be impossible for them to have any other arab ancestry because it is against sharia law meaning no other muslim arabs intermarried with them. Thus they are probably pure northern arabs. Even then none of this has to do with Syrian christians unless this guy is from Jordan and moved to Syria.
