Yet another convert to Islam somehow gets the idea that jihad involves hot warfare. Yet no mainstream Muslim organization in the U.S., despite their stated opposition to what they claim is al-Qaeda's twisting and hijacking of true Islamic teaching, has any program designed to teach Muslims (and converts to Islam) to avoid this understanding of Islam. And authorities seem completely indifferent to and clueless as to the implications of that fact.

Michigan woman dies in Syria fighting for opposition

A 33-year-old Michigan woman and convert to Islam has been killed in Syria while fighting with opposition forces against the government of President Bashar Assad in the country's civil war, her family said on Thursday.
The woman's aunt told Reuters that the FBI had informed her on Thursday afternoon of the death of her niece, Nicole Mansfield of Flint, but said she did not have the details of how she died.

"I'm just devastated," said the aunt, Monica Mansfield Speelman. "Evidently, she was fighting with opposition forces."

Speelman said Mansfield, a single mother of an 18-year-old daughter, had converted to Islam about five years ago but that she did not know when her niece had traveled to Syria.

"I didn't think she would stoop that low to go over there and try to harm anybody," Speelman said of her niece, who she said had worked at a group home....

Reverting to terror? You never hear of numerous people converting, or reverting , to Buddhism , Christianity or Hinduism and suddenly becoming murderous, evil terrorists, willing to kill innocent people for their "new" religion.

God cannot be so hateful. if God wanted to kill those who disbelieve in him he could have done it himself, why would he need us to make war with our fellow human beings and become murderers to prove our devotion to him? All these show that Allah is not God but a demon. May be he is Satan who is impersonating himself as God to destroy this world and lead people to his hell. How do Muslims know that the angel who appeared to Muhammad was not Lucifer? lol

The proof of a messenger of God is that he brings love among the people, does good things and lives a saintly life. Muhammad lived a life of a gangster and a marauding warlord. He raided unarmed civilians, murdered innocent people, looted their belongings, slept with their wives and children and enslaved them. This is not what a messenger of God would do. But a messenger of Satan may do such things.

The Detroit Free Press reported that Ms Mansfield, who was raised a Baptist, had previously been married to an Arab man, and also had a teenage daughter.
The photographs on her ID show her wearing a hijab or Muslim headscarf.
Her grandmother told the newspaper that she had "a heart of gold," but was easily influenced by others. "I think she could have been brainwashed," Carole Mansfield said.
None of Mansfield’s relatives are sure of when or why she left for Syria. She reportedly spent time in Dubai about two years ago after her divorce, but returned to America at her family’s behest.

And she also apparently thought that essential to being a Muslim was to take up arms against those perceived as Islam's enemies. Where did she get this idea? Is anyone investigating what is taught in her mosque in Michigan, and what they're saying about Sharia in the US? Almost certainly not-after all, it's a Religion of Peace.

So the question is, does Islam attract murderers or turn people into them? I'd say both. Look at the rates of conversion to Islam in prisons and numbers of muslim prisoners for instance.
