This was announced by the Ministry of Transport of the Baltic Republic on Wednesday. On the same day the foundation stone was laid in the city of Jelgava for factory and a symbolic walled capsule into the foundation. At the ceremony, including President Andris Berzins of Latvia and Russia's Minister of Industry Denis Manturow participated. In the factory with a capacity of about 2,000 cars per year to 20 million euros will be invested.
"This project will complement the successful development of relations between our countries," Berzins said. Manturow expressed the hope that the production of the factory is asked in Jelgava in other countries.
Uralvagonzavod is internationally known mainly through the production of modern T-90 tanks.
