Or at least Central Europe. I know children are tough to do but I looked Southern European even as a child. So does he?

Or can he pass as northern?

He looks South-Eastern already so rather not.

The coloring is kind of northern but the features are maybe more southern/central but he's just a kid so hard to tell. Maybe he could pass in Ireland or Brittany?

looks Italian.

Maybe pan-European instead? Except for Finland and the Baltic region and Russia, possibly.

Probably in France, yes. He might be able to pass in Ireland but he would be atypical maybe.

The child would be atypical in Poland to say at least. Usually children here have lighter hair colour (even if they turn out to be black-haired like my father who was light/medium blonde up to 8-10 years old f.e).

South/Southeast Europe is where he's from (Syracuse, Sicily) but this child looks much different than say, I did at that age, and I don't know what is distinctly Southern European about him.

Im not saying he's typical for ireland or brittany but if he were to pass in northern europe I can sort of see him in those areas. Other than that he actually looks italian overall.

You know what, I would try to tell you, but you wouldn't believe me, so i'll let someone else explain it to you.

So? Are all kids suppose to look the same in Sicily? They don't here.

No, they're not supposed to all look the same. But I would like someone to describe to me how they'd instinctively know he is not Northern European.

1. His hair color would be extremely rare, ESPECIALLY among children in Northern Europe (they tend to be baby-blonde, dark-brown at darkest).
2. His skin color is too dark.
3. His features (f.x he's got quite a low hairline compared to a NE child).

I don't really want to go into details about his features, but doesn't look Northern European at all.
If i saw him, i would immediately think that he's not from here.
