Imho tie! Bow ties are for children.

Double - knot tie..with the button down shirt..! Though bow-ties look elegant, but I doubt my personality / body structure would compliment it.

A real man is able to wear a bowtie without shame but I most are unable. Tie is expected to look legit

Depends on the occasion, very fancy events demand a bow tie.
