Oh god.. :/ I swear when Elephants go extinct or Whales or the major known mammals... I dont even know. I dont want to tell my kids about "those extinct creatures that I saw at a zoo that no longer exist because humans are fucking parasites on the Earth"...

It's hard to believe there wasn't any in captivity.

There are still large-ish populations of Diceros bicornis bicornis (Namibia) and Diceros bicornis minor (South Africa).

And yes, one can tell the subspecies apart just by looking at a picture. At least I can.

Let's hope there are. Some mammals are very hard to breed in captivity, for whatever reason.
