Doubt it. Phoenicians and Sephardis didn't live in Messina.

He's just a woggy Sicilian. Not every dark one is part Phoenician just like not every blonde is Norman.

Twice actually, and it's true. He could pass nowhere in Europe at all, he has a look exclusive to the Levant, he looks quite Mirazhi actually.

He is certainly exotic, yes. No one would deny it. He could fit in Cyprus though.

Perhaps, but it wouldn't be my first guess. His nose is very hawkish, I'm very tempted to say I would imagine him in Der Sturner, that's how stereotypical he looks.
