I'll say Greece because some of them have a more Pontid Dinaro feel than the Dinaro-med. feel of S. Italy>Sicily--even though they look very Med. too - if that makes sense.

These people are from Galatina in Lecce province, Apulia. Southern Apulia, Basilicata, Calabria, and eastern Sicily are generally all very similar to one another, but a lot of these people do look distinctly "Greek".

Just Sicily, I would never guess Greece for these people.

I'm really good at telling Italians apart from Greeks for some reason.

I'm Greek and they don't really strike me as stereotypical Greek. They "pass," but a random crowd of Greeks next to these guys wouldn't cause confusion, me thinks.

Different bone structure and faces overall. Some of these people look more like Cypriotes, actually.

Of course, I haven't been all around Greece, so somebody else might know better.

Yeah despite they look italian they could fit in Greece. I think it is the best option! Did you think about some Balkanic country?

Oh knock it off. They are from the far south Apulia anyway, so they might not look like people from somewhere further north. Do you think I chose pictures to make them look more Sicilian to blur differences between all the southern regions or something?

These are from a formerly Greek area, near where the Griko live. Do you think the photos are representative southerners or no?

Sicily, they don't look Greek.

Why not?

They are all from Apulia. Do you guys think I put Sicilians there and claimed they are Apulian or something ?? joseph capelli wants people to think Sicilians and Calabrese are different than other southerners so that's why he is freaking out that these Apulians look remarkably like them..

Both fit amongst the people I posted.. the woman is just a dyed blonde. Anyway if people are surprised to see these people (who look "Sicilian" to them) in Apulia, then I don't know what to say.

Greece and maybe Albania. They can't pass at all(Not at all in northern italy though some could pass in central italy) in all the other options except for maybe cyprus.

You man look quite dark for Apulian standards. Are you sure to be 100% Lombard? I've never seen a pure Lombard like you.

no, I would not put Albania. Albanians have a very different (and very peculiar) cranial structure (very brachiocephalic) often with ears that are very detached from the head. In addition albanians have a very distinctive look and i think can not be easily mistaken for anything else than Albanians. Last note, often albanians have brownish/reddish hair. IMO Albania no.

Most of them are pure Mediterranids/Dinaricised Meds etc. so they would hardly fit outside of Southern Italy and Greece (and probably Albania).. Salento has a higher percentage of those looks, while the situation is different in the rest of Apulia where there's more Central-Northern Italian looks.. of course it's not always the case

So would you say these pictures are representative for southern Apulia? I disagree with joseph capelli and I think they are. I expect southern Apulians to look like Calabrese and eastern Sicilians, which these pictures do.

And Peyrol is not the one who doesn't know what they're talking about.. sorry.

There are some differences, sometimes there aren't THAT GOES WITH MANY GROUPS though, I mean, no-one even guessed at my pic when I put it up, so it's not like looks are specific to certain areas all the time.

Anyways, i'm just going to stop conversing with you, it isn't worth my time.

I think it depends on the region but the differences are probably less than you make them out to be.

And good.

Most similar to other southern Italians, then Greeks, though especially islanders, Cypriots, Dodecanese and Anatolian Turkish somewhat as well because Greeks are in good part Anatolian from the Neolithic also Armenia, even to me because Armenians are also largely Anatolian, so are Italians from the neolithic, then lastly the Levant, because Levant types are more physiognomy, much more different ,their phenotypes I see rarley in Italians so far. :D

Surely single individuals can fit in the Levantine and thus have a Levantine Semitic middle eastern phenotype, but Italians central, south, far south in medium groups, large groups and as a whole-majority defintley do not look Semitic Levantine.
