World's biggest sperm bank refuses red haired people.

In news that is sure to fire up redheads, the world's largest sperm bank — Cryos International, which send semen to over 65 countries worldwide — is rejecting red-haired donors because of lack of demand. The bank's director, Ole Schou, told Danish paper Ekstrabladet:

"There are too many redheads in relation to demand. I do not think you chose a redhead, unless the partner — for example, the sterile male — has red hair, or because the lone woman has a preference for redheads. And that's perhaps not so many, especially in the latter case."

Demand is still big in Ireland, but as the bank is at capacity it's affording itself the luxury of being more selective with its next batch of donors. Guys with brown hair and brown eyes are the most popular donors apparently. What do you think about the news? Are they right to refuse?

I suspect that the red hair can come about even if the parents are not red-haired. It has something to do with one having blond genes. That's just from my own observation of families with red-haired members.

I've noticed that many people are more open to having red-headed daughters than sons. I feel the same way. It's similar to how I would hate to have a son who was short, but wouldn't really care if I had a daughter who was short.
