STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin is retiring from hockey after nearly two decades in the NHL.
"It was a tough decision," Sundin told reporters at a news conference at Stockholm's Grand Hotel on Wednesday. "It's sad to tell you today that my career as a pro hockey player is over."

A better name would have been "High Priest of the Church of Lagom" since this unfailingly mediocre man personified this shitty loser's attitude toward life. He didn't care if he scored, he didn't care if his team won, he doesn't care that he didn't win a Stanley Cup after 20 years in the NHL.
His weak attitude and limp-wristed fear of using his 6ft5in 230lb body to his advantage contributed to fucking over every NHL team he played with; when he was injured or sick, his team always played better without him.
Good riddance, fuckface.
