Medeiros is a well known surname, originating in northern Portugal; during the time of the Western Goths, in the small county of Portucalense (which is now Northwestern Portugal).

Were the Goths majority in north Portugal?

Were the Goths majority in north Portugal?

Nope, they didn't ethnically cleanse the locals.

I think romans were also a minority, as were the moors or any other invaders.

Romans were a minority everywhere they went since they were military colonizers, not mass settlers.

Romans of the minority's,were the majority.
That's what I meant.
The Moors were even less. The Algarve was not part of Al-Andaluz,but an administrative region.

No, it's related to some place with the same name, as it's with a lot of portuguese surnames.

Depends on which spaniards, we are similar to nearby ones. But we only share some surnames with galicians.

Well, Goths and Romans were as much Indo Europeans as Celts.
