To me she looks like Professor McGonagall on the Harry Potter movies.

A very well known singer here, but in reality another miscast on that website:

Simone de Oliveira, GCIH (born 11 February 1938) is a Portuguese singer and actress. Simone was born and raised in Lisbon. Her Portuguese father had black African roots in São Tomé and Príncipe (then a Portuguese territory), and her mother was Belgian.

I don't think she looks quite right as English. Perhaps more so than Italian... I'm not sure

Elderly people aren't good subjects to classify. Their pigmentation lessens as they get older which makes classifying a lot more difficult. In younger photos, it is clear that she looks more Italian.

Prima che si sapesse che il padre era africano tutti dicevano Inghilterra. Poi magicamente...

Mixed ancestry in her parents, I'd suppose. Heavy English, very heavy, though.

It's difficult to classify older people as their skin goes duller due to the liver functioning weakening, and their original features change.

This is an example of an elderly 100 year old British woman.

Looking at her she doesn't look English to me. While she has a superficial similarity to Maggie Smith she looks continental to me. Differences in the chin, cheek and nose area. I do think it is difficult with older people to classify and age changes people's features. Also they don't have their natural hair colour etc.

A bit different here. Lovely woman and looks to me more French and of course Portuguese as well. I just read the thread and she is half Belgian explaining her French look.

She looks more Italian than English

And do you know how recent is her African ancestry? It must be really minor because it doesn't show

According to Wikipedia, her grandfather was born in Sao Tomé and was of Portuguese and Sao Tomé ancestry. Her grandmother was apparently of Portuguese and Belgian ancestry.
