Tans can look good as long as it's naturally done. A slight natural tan is unavoidable in most places of the world that are near the equator but have light skinned people. Happens in most of South America, SouthWest USA, Australia, Middle East, Central Asia, Southern Europe. I imagine darker people who are native from the equator tan too, it's just not as noticeable.

The woman in the pic looks pretty ( and heavily photoshopped). She looks good both with and without a tan. I think the paler skin tone is more elegant looking though. That is what comes to mind most of the time when I see pale females, dark haired or light... I think they look elegant.
