Share your feelings about the US. Open up. Like a crocodile slowly opening its mouth. Like a Hellen Keller slowly opens her eyes. Like a non-negro slowly eats his watermelon, opening its mouth, slowly with precaution, looks around for those 'WATAHMELOWNE THUGZ'(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QucyLEU6Tkg). i voted option 3hree. i gotz yolosweg annd eh goldin snepbeck.

I don't really like the US for many things, but life in the US isn't bad either. A lot better than most places. But I wouldn't say I wouldn't say I would want it to "burn"... This is a great country that offers people a nice life, but I do not like what they do globally.

Both American & Canadian tourists who visit, are very nice polite people. But reckon I'd go mad living there.

Don't hate, can't think of anything bad that they have done to us. Why would I hate a country that's nice to us?

Their foreign policy isn't different to the UK's, that I dislike. The world police. Military expenditures is stupidly high, on missiles etc.

I actually like the US as a country. I just hate their government. I met a lot of very kind and intelligent Americans (There's a little bit of everything there) So I can't hate on their people. Even though the government is a reflection of the majority of the population, and I hate it, I still like the U.S. as a country. Just not politically.

Caismeachd
08-04-2013, 03:18 AM
It's a difficult thing to say because there are a lot of good Americans, but the govt is completely corrupt and backwards. Basic societal infrastructure is corrupt and backwards. Everything revolves around the $ rather than what benefits society and the people championing for freedoms and patriotism etc have the thickest wool over their eyes about those aspects. I think it's a rather terrifying place to live or to trust your livelihood in if you are aware of how things are elsewhere. A lot of Americans are just kind of clueless about how they can improve their livelihood and how bad they often have it compared to elsewhere. It's definitely not the land of the free like people say it is. So many people are ignorant and assumptive. I think a lot of Americans can't really stand this place anymore.

You call the American government liberal?

Compared to European standards, even the Democrats are very conservative. And that's what I don't like about America.

Caismeachd
08-04-2013, 06:13 AM
It's not really even conservative. It's just backwards. But it's also strange because a democrat on the east in the south would be conservative compared to a republican from California. That's why the whole bipartisan thing in US is redundant and childish.

true, but even back then it was less racist then other similar states. the idea of liberty and human rights is deep into american thinking, the end of slavery and racial segregation follows logically from the idea of liberty and that all humans have the same rights from birth and to persue happiness, it was not always for all colours but it follows from it

Nigger gang bangers=rapists,killers

Hot Blondes= Is a legend that used to exist 10+ years ago. They don't exists as much anymore because of race mixing, liberals and feminists. Let me not forget the Obesity epidemic.

Burgers= Not real. When they say 100% angus for a very cheap price BEWARE!

Big Cars= All imported from overseas. The only thing still standing is the Cadillac.

Fast High ways= Yes,drive to the George Washington bridge to New Jersey. Let us see if you will survive.

America is an enigma. It seems the stereotypical America, a bastion of Obesity, pornography, crime and instant gratification of all kinds, in reality is overshadowed by the good ol' hard working folk that live in the truest sense of community spirit.

I've noticed that a lot of Americans (especially rural conservative types) display very admirable character traits. If shit happens, your community should get together and help you, it's not because you're a bad person, it's because someday down the line shit may happen to me and i expect the same courtesy from you. We'll help each other but fuck dependance on the invisible hand. I respect that community spirit.

In that sense, America is the best country in the world. You can't blame freedom because some people abuse it.

My condolences. :)

No condolences needed, but I appreciate your sentiment my friend. I respect your right to hold whatever views you have on religion; after all, to some extent we are all products of our environment. As you know, I grew up in England and the image of Christianity was exemplified by stuffy programs like “Stars on Sunday” coupled with boring religious knowledge classes and morning assembly at school (no separation of church and state in Britain). Then getting older we listen to all of the edgy lyrics from the socially aware recording artists, telling us that the world’s major problems all lead back to organized religion. So I understand where you are coming from because I understand your environment. But can you say the same about me? I have seen and experienced the love, caring, and charity given by the Christian Church around the world from missions I have attended: building homes for the poor, feeding the poor, giving medical care to remote parts of the world, from basic vaccinations programs to medical missions like “Operation Smile,” a mission set up to surgically repair cleft palates birth defects for children that would otherwise be left to live a life in the shadows, always hiding their faces, ostracized from their societies. I have read the Bible and have found the scriptures that feed and nourish my faith and that has brought a loving peace to my life that words cannot express. I pray that all non-believers will find their way to Christ, and can also feel the same inner peace, contentment and purpose that I feel. Unfortunately, England and most of Europe have turned their backs on God, and now I’m afraid God will turn his back on them. The heathens are inside the gates and within 50 years all of Europe will attend church, whether they want to or not, only it won’t be called a church, it will be called a mosque. I will continue to pray that the European people will find their way back to Christ and will come back from the darkness to feel the warmth and love of God’s light.

I stated that I will pray for England and the rest of Europe, but have no doubt, that if it takes the sword to save England/Europe form the Muslim invaders, the holy worriers will come from across the Atlantic and that is what that sword represents for me.

I don't like everything about the U.S., but I still love it like fried chicken.

To hate any country enough to see it burn, is a sign of ignorance and immaturity.

Although I don't like a few particular countries, I would not want to hurt anyone living in those countries.....unless they attacked my country or my allies first.

I think that most Europeans, Asians, Pacific Islanders, are happy that the U.S. came to their aid a few decades ago; no matter what they say about U.S. foreign policy now.

I don't hate the US, but I do get very annoyed with the foreign policy of the US, especially when it comes to their interventionist policy in the ME. I'm sure though many Americans also share my beliefs, so I doubt that makes me 'anti-American'. I'm also not very found of the Hollywood celebrity culture, but I'm sure I'm in the majority in that. I think US also has some respectable qualities alongside its flaws. In the end, when I look to compare the US, I don't compare it to countries like Switzerland, but I compare it to other comparable world powers like Russia and China.
