I saw this new forum over at Skadi awhile ago, but have finally decided to check in. I am interested in keeping track of Northern Europe and their issues. The other parts of Europe are of slight interest also.
It is good to keep track of what is happening in other parts of the world. What happens overseas today could happen in the US later on.

Welcome. From where exactly did your "Finno-Ugric" ancestors migrate?

On my mother's side they were both first generation up by Northern Michigan, where the largest number of Finns in the US live. One grandparent was from the north, and the other from the south.

My grandfather was 6'1" and had a very tall head, so I think he may have been Corded influenced. I am not sure if the Baltics originate over by the Ural mountains. There is a difference between language origin and genetic origin.

It was rather meant as an inquiry whether he had Finnish, or Hungarian ancestors. This "Finno-Ugric" theory is weak at best, though you are correct that we both came from Asia. Just like the Indo-Aryans.
