It seems Thailand does lots of plastic surgery. At least 17% of female between ages of 20's and 30's done plastic surgery and more than half of prostitutes done it too. Plastic surgery is cheap in Thailand and more than half of Thai women use white cream to light their brown skin.

There's a limit. You can use of make up but it shouldn't be in extreme way like Asian girls do. fake tan is allowed because it doesn't effect the person's face, I don't know not about dental procedures but changing your nose, eyes, shape of facial structure should not be allow to compete.

I mean if everyone is ok with this than what is the point of all these miss world and miss universe competition, any girl in the world can represent the country through surgery and not natural beauty. Even the ugliest girl in the world can compete through surgery

But all of these things allegedly make a person more attractive, artificially. What's the difference, really, between getting your teeth capped and having a nose job? Messed up teeth can affect looks every bit as much as a messed up nose.

I'd prefer Miss Portugal, just for racial reasons. She's also hotter, but that's besides the point.

And I'm not arguing in favor of plastic surgery. I'm just saying that if we allow contestants who have dental implants and fake tans, then why are nose jobs and stuff like that such a big deal.

That's not the issue. When I talk to my young Korean co-workers here, they are perplexed by the distinction made by westerners and find it hypocritical. Of course I don't like it personally, but it's not my issue to troll. Btw Anglos invented plastic surgery.
