Romanian. Here she is considered one of the most beautiful singers in the country. I tried to post pictures of her with less makeup or none.

For those that have (unfortunately) seen only immigrant scum from Romania (generally low class people, where gypsy ancestry is at its highest), she may appear as a typical Romanian. But if you live in Romania, have visited many places (especially remove villages that have never had gypsies), you will notice this face would strike as Gypsy.

she doesn't necessarily look typical romanian, but she isn't dark compared to the one's i know. i know some very dark romanians... and a couple of them are graduate students and look completely europoid.

i don't see anything obviously gypsy except in the child photo although you'd know better than me.

edit: the guys I'm referring to have similar colouration to victor hanescu. is he not ethnic romanian?

Of course he is ethnic Romanian. There is nothing Indian about him, compared to Antonia where Indian influence is obvious. His facial features are ultra-European:

When i look at her mother, i realize Aherne was not so far from right, her mother might have some gipsy blood, not full, but some. I say that especially because of her nose and eyes. All in all, gipsy blooded or not, Antonia is a good result, isn't she? :rolleyes:

Her Indian-inspired features were the main issue. Hair color was only strengthening the argument.
