Armenians should think twice, before scheduling tourist trips to Turkey, and observe safety precautions. The Center For Armenian Remembrance (C.A.R.), News And Views, gives this story about a 29 year old pregnant Armenian tourist's remains were discovered and identified, with evidence of torture.
While the incident occurred in July 2010, it still merits interest, and should be taken as a warning sign, or red flag, for any Armenians who consider the idea of vacationing in Turkey.
This isn't the only time that vacationing Armenians have been murdered in Turkey; also, there have been occasions when Armenian hotel guests have been beaten senseless. Armenians in searching of their family heritage, on business trips, on diplomatic trips, or on filming expeditions have good reason to travel to Turkey, others should approach Turkey with caution, and perhaps stay away from Turkey altogether.

"PREGNANT ARMENIAN WOMAN MURDERED IN TURKEY"
"The Armenian citizen Anna Davtyan, who disappeared in Turkey about three weeks ago, has been murdered. The 29 year old Anna Davityan from Armenia, was five months pregnant. She had disappeared in mid-July [2010]. A few days ago there were rumors in Charentsavan that the Armenian woman’s body had been found. RFE/Radio Liberty correspondent, Charentsavan Mayor Hakob Shahgaldyan, confirmed the information. He reported that the woman’s mother, who left for Turkey to find her daughter, identified her body. The transportation of the body to Armenia faces problems - the body shows signs of torture and there is no diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia. The young woman’s parents are expecting final DNA analysis results."
