View Full Version : Genetics forum expansion
I want to expand the genetics section, and want to add more sub-categories underneath it.
Suggestions are welcome!

I think you should open "DNA Scientific papers" section, "Autosomal DNA" section and "Haplogroups" section divided in Y-DNA and mtDNA.
Otherwise, it will be messy here

That's a great suggestion, thanks. And yes, I think we need some order here - hard to find relevant discussions.
Any more suggestions?

I have started moving some threads but am not done yet.
I'm open to suggestions as to what should go where.
Artek, perhaps you can give me a list of the threads which should go under Articles and Papers because you seem quite familiar with the threads. Pm me the links and I'll move them over!

That's efficient enough. Would agree with Artek.
I'd combine FTdna & 23andme into Personal DNA Results, if people want to keep it more private. Like in Personal Taxonomy.

Right, you will have your list. Just give me some time to gather it
EDIT: List is sent. I decided to omit some pseudo-scientific or meritorically very outdated threads.
I also insist, that when we post a new subject with scientific paper, the thread name should also include an author and a year of publishing. As an example of such thread name : Uniparental Genetic Heritage of Belarusians: Encounter of Rare Middle Eastern Matrilineages with a Central European Mitochondrial DNA Pool (Kushniarevich et al.2013)

Thank you Artek.
Loki, could I also suggest a DNA Tribes and McDonald subforum? There are many of those results on here.

Yes, once I make a "Personal DNA results" I can add those as subforums as well, along with 23andme etc. Would be good.
