Black hair

Unlike with red hair there is pretty much nothing to write about black hair. All Humans except Caucasians in Europe, mid east, and north Africa have all black hair. I think there have been some cases of native Americans and Japense with brownish hair. But basically it was the first Human fair color orignally all Humans had black hair.
Brown hair

Brown hair only exists in Caucasians in Europe, middle east, and north africa. It is the main hair color of Europeans and i know it is very popular in mid easterns and north Africans but i could not get any info if it is the main hair color of if they dont have black hair. Brown hair is a little more pale pigmented than black hair. It would have begun with early Caucasians in the middle east 60,000-70,000ybp. For black and brown hair figuring out their origin is pretty simple. and for their history it is the same thing. Brown and black hair are so typical they dont stand out and i would guess not mentioned that much in ancient sources. I know it is but only when comparing young to old like old people have grey hair young have dark.
Red hair
I made a seperate thread for red hair. I would not dare to put in the same thread as inferior hair colors. Click here (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?91491-Origin-and-History-of-red-hair) to see the thread about the History and Origin of red hair.

Blonde hair is much less typical than Brown and Black but much much more popular and spread out than red hair. From what i know is unique to the European family which based on aust DNA would have formed in Paleolithic Europe anywhere from 30,000-60,000ybp. It is about as popular as Brown hair in all of central, eastern, and northern Europe.
Here is a basic distributions map of fair hair in Europe, The reason i said basic is because it has wide percentages like 20-49%. i found some very un basic maps on Eupedia but cant copy and paste it. And when they say fair hair they dont mean only yellow hair. They include lightesh brown and red hair. Red hair is distributed completely differently than yellow blonde hair and is only 1% or over in western Europe and volga Russia so it does not make a major difference. Light brown hair i would guess is just a mix of blonde and brown hair genes and is probably distributed the same way as yellow blonde hair.
http://dpgitr7uxxopj.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/blond-map-europe.jpg
Figuring out how old blonde hair and how it spread out is a ton more complicated than with red hair and defintley more complicated than for black and brown hair. Because it is so spread out and unlike with red hair which is by far most popular in Germanic Italo Celtic speakers. Blonde hair is popular in Slavic, Uralic's, and Germanic Italo Celts and exists in all of Europe. It defintley formed before any of the modern ethnic groups and language families in Europe and does not show signs of spreading with any of them like red hair does. Since blonde hair does not show any signs of spreading with modern European ethnic groups and probably not in the bronze, Chaloithic, or Neolithic ages. Blonde hair in all of Europe probably has a Mesolithic-Paleolithic hunter gather origin so over 10,000ybp.
Aust DNa which takes genes from ur austume chromsomes which have a genes from basically ur full ancestry. Not just direct male and female lines like y dna and mtdna haplogroups. There are different tests i am not sure exactly how it all works. But all the tests i have looked at that say they found the unique European group that probably arrived 30,000ybp. They call it Atlantic Baltic, North Euro, or North east Euro because those are the areas it is most popular. Aust dna from 7,000 year old Mesolithic hunter gather in northern Spain showed he had more of these groups than just about all modern Europeans he had some admixture with incoming farmers. Orignally all Europeans would have had 100% of the group they call either Atlantic Baltic, North Euro, and north eats Euro who ever the first people were to have these groups is who makes Europeans european. I have looked at what some experts say and they say the North Euro group at least is a remain of Mesolithic and late Paleolithic European hunter gathers. And probably was the only aust dna group in Europe from 10,000-15,000ybp but we cant say for sure for over 15,000ybp. Also even though hg I has been in Europe for at least 30,000 years it may have arrived as Ij over 40,000ybp. Eastern European i2a1b and western European i2a1a probably spread only 10,000-15,000ybp at the most. hg I1 spread in central Europe and Scandinavia obly 11,000-9,000ybp at the most and I2a2 sread in central europe probably around the same time. So i guess it seems like Hg I made huge migrations around that time but i dont know. It does not mean 20,000ybp people in east Europe did not have some other subclade of hg I. What it could mean is that the north Euro group, Europeans main ancestors, and blonde hair spread acroos Europe around that time.
I attempted to make a distribution map of it in Europe i never got enough info to finish it. What i noticed is that North Euro or what ever u want to call it is most popular in the same areas blonde hair is most popular. It is more popular east of Germany and north of Romania. It decreases as u get south of Ukraine just like blonde hair. It defintley showed some similarities. What that could mean is that blonde hair was very popular in Mesolithic-Paleolithic Europeans throughout Europe over 10,000ybp then was decreased by inter marriage with farmers who came in the Neloithic age and later inter marriage with mid eastern people. I dont know if this does mean that blonde hair was very popular like 40-60% in most of Europe over 10,000ybp that sounds a little to popular to me. But if Europeans were over 10,000ybp were a genetically very similar people like what over 10,000 year old mtDNA suggests then i guess that could be true. I noticed that some tests called it Atlantic Baltic which is the exact same area blonde hair is over 50%.
Until we get hair color from Mesolithic-Paleolithic Europeans we will never know i doubt it. In my opinon the origin and spread of blonde hair is a mystery. The best i can think of is that it was very popular in most, all, or some Paleolithic and Mesolithic Europeans 10,000-20,000ybp. Since it exists in all Europeans it may have existed in the founding population of all Europeans 30,000-60,000ybp or it spread through inter marriage with groups that did not have it orignalley. Blonde hair has probably been popular in some groups of Europeans for over 20,000 years. The first blonde probably lived 30,000-60,000ybp. The age estimates that have been given to it at 11,000ybp is to young for how it is spread out in Europe and when u consider the spread of diff ethnic groups in Europe throughout history and genetic's.
I was looking at 15,000 year old Human carvings in La Marche cave western France. And i noticed some of the people's hair was carved in dark with many scratches while some were not. I know people sometimes do this with pencils to show blonde hair. If it is true blonde hair was very popular in most Europeans at this time it would make sense.
