I think they are Israelite but mixed with Berberid no?

They're different from Sephardim and are sometimes labelled Judaized Berbers.

From what i know most non-azkhenazis are by default called sephardim due to differences in customs.

Yeah in order to be Jewish you have to either be Jewish on the direct maternal line or practice the religion or both.

Berber Jews are probably the best preserved Berbers. Many Berbers were Jewish the famous warrior Khaina was Jewish and managed to defeat the Arabs in the first initial conquest.

I sort of disagree. Also I think that the Berbers have a look that can't be described as Eastern or Western.

Most Jews are primarily descended from converts, as opposed to being of full Levantine descent, with the possible exception of some Oriental (Mizrachi, Arab) Jews, so their religion shouldn't really affect their looks. There might be quite a bit of Arabic influence for two reasons, though. One, they're Berbers, and Berbers have been subjected to Arab invasions for 1,500 years. Two, the original conversion would probably have been caused by a few Jewish missionaries coming, converting, and marrying in. Which is probably why they're indistinguishable from regular Berbers.
