It is common among Sarakatsanis, not ethnic Bulgarians. Ethnic Bulgarians can have it, but it isn't common.
Pontid + West Baltid. The second element could be a bit far-fetched though but his jaw angles suggest it.

These are orthodox names, not '' greek'' names. It is a name largely used among orthodox albanians also.

It originated in Greece, just like all the other "Orthodox" names that all of you Slavs and other Balkans now use.. Anastasia, Dimitri, Katerina etc.

This isn't true. My name is of Latin origin, not Greek.
Many people here have names of Bulgarian origin as well.

But that particular name is of Greek origin, just like many of the other names that many Americans attribute to Russians (Anastasia being one).
