Do they work (http://zapatopi.net/afdb/) in warding off mind-control device influences?

What is an AFDB?

An Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie (AFDB) is a type of headwear that can shield your brain from most electromagnetic psychotronic mind control carriers. AFDBs are inexpensive (even free if you don't mind scrounging for thrown-out aluminium foil) and can be constructed by anyone with at least the dexterity of a chimp (maybe bonobo). This cheap and unobtrusive form of mind control protection offers real security to the masses. Not only do they protect against incoming signals, but they also block most forms of brain scanning and mind reading, keeping the secrets in your head truly secret. AFDBs are safe and operate automatically. All you do is make it and wear it and you're good to go! Plus, AFDBs are stylish and comfortable.

Simple poll.

Of course not!! They actually allow for better brain scanning and controlling, they make for perfect reception of all the waves. This article and website were created by conspirators themselves, to mislead us!
Beware of tin-foil hattery!!

No! it's a bad idea.

Wearing a tinfoil hat to deflect government mind-control radio waves is even more foolish than most people think. According to several (apparent) students from MIT who tested several hat designs, there was "a 30 db amplification at 2.6 Ghz and a 20 db amplification at 1.2 Ghz, regardless of the position of the antenna on the cranium." (source) (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/11/11/tinfoil_hats_as_government_plot/)

because the effect of an ungrounded Faraday cage is to partially reflect the incident radiation, a radio wave that is incident on the inner surface of the hat (i.e., coming from underneath the hat-wearer) would be reflected and partially 'focused' towards the user's brain. I prefer the Thought Screen Helmet (http://www.stopabductions.com/). It's also fashionable enough to be worn outside, as this model shows :)

"I have been abducted by aliens for years and found stopabductions.com by a happy coincidence.

The Thought Screen Helmet, invented by an expert, has stopped the unwelcome visitations and has raised me and my family`s quality of life. Therefore I highly recommend it."

It is not enough to just wrap your head up in aluminium foil. Those dasdardly "Inter-Net" mind control rays can penetrate your body from any angle.

There are better alternatives. ;)
