I know some of you will say Ashkenazis look like their host populations but I mean other than your rare one who looks straight up German, what about the rest?

You can interpret this to mean the average Ashkenazi, or the stereotypical ones.

I voted Sicilian, Italian, Armenian, Lebanese, and Syrian.

Ironically, some look a bit British but that choice wasn't listed.

I thought German and Polish would be fitting since those were the main centers of Jewish influence in Central Europe. I also included Russian.

Seriously? That's rarer than German looking Ashkenazis.

Yeah, that's right. Ashkenazis are Swedes....

Not really. I was at an event today with a lot of older Jewish people, and many of them could easily have been Lebanese.

I'm talking about the lighter Levantines that may have a little European admixture.
I have seen more Atlantid-like instances among some Ashkenazim and less Germanic per se. That's why I listed Britain.

Sorry, I've seen a lot of Ashkenazis, they almost never can pass as modern Levantines.

Ashkenazis don't cluster with Lebanese at all.

Those are mainly the Christian Levantines, and it's not that they have European admixture, it's just the muslim Levantines have Arabian admixture, and so 99% of Ashkenazis could not pass as a typical Muslim Levantine.

I don't see very many Jews with Atlantic influence.

Jews in general have crossover looks with lebs, I don't know what groups they used for that.....maybe the genetics differs but looks are similar

Thing is, lebs vary a lot, if you take a large group you're going to get certain variance in genetics I assume, maybe its throwing off the cluster, idk.

Oh there are some. The range of Ashkenazi looks is basically the same as the southern Italian, except for the Slavic influences in some Ashkenazis.

I think I look pretty typical for my ethnicity but have been classified as Atlantid - but I also see East Med in there too.

I've already told you I think you look North Italian. Completely European looking.
