Are they Albanians? Seriously :p I've seen people like them around here (not the clothes, the faces). :)

- His clothing is Albanian. Although i have not encountered an Albanian looking like him myself. To me he looks like he has turkish influence...like this man:

Looks Irano-Afghan
Males with beards always look more Middle Eastern, imo.
As for subrace, I think he's Dinarid. Probably.

He could be a Balkan Egyptian aka. Ashkali.

As for his subrace I'd classify him as Arabid that is also present in North Africa.

"Most Ashkali live in Kosovo, but they are also present in Albania, Central Serbia, Vojvodina, Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro."

He doesn't look gypsy (Askhali are gypsies). Middle Eastern (Iranian, Afgan) - yes, Caucasian - yes, but Arabid - no.
This is Arabid:

That guy above in that picture looks fully Indid, he doesn't look Balkan at all.

It could just be this is a overly tanned Dinarid Balkaner. His nose looks rather Dinarid, though gives somewhat of an Irano-Afghan impression. Gypsies aren't Irano-Afghan, nor are North Africans. He could have a Gypsy-Indid ancestor, but no one will know. He could slightly pass for a Indid Sikh/Pashtun with a turban. I might add he looks like a Paki/Afghan I know. I think it's safe to assume he's a overly tanned Dinarid Balkaner with an aging white beard. If you had photographs of this person in his teenage years to 20's, on different angles I'm sure he'd look more Balkan, rather than on this picture with his head scarf & beard leading to mixed impressions. He also looks too old to classify 60+ = too old.

Here's an example of Arabid for comparison.

I thought Arabids, Irano-Afgans and Indids were three separate things?

That guy looks nothing like the Albanian man above, the Albanian guy seems to have deep-set eyes a common Dinarid trait. That Arabid looks almost to be part Somali-Arab. His eyes are also big & buldging, check his eye brows too & lips.

Exactly:) Old people are not always easy to classify, like children/teenagers too. Adding a dark tan and beard(and i also assume clothing..) it gives him a more "oriental" look i guess. I support the theory of mainly dinaric, as mentioned his nose and eyes. Untanned withouth that beard and in western clothing, i think there would be a different approach by people. There is nothing gipsy in him or arabid, just being old and dark. In his 20s he probably were a more distinctive dinaric looking, but the hard life + sunexposion can give a distinctive look by age. He is not that alien i would say to be honest, i find it funny he was classified as semitic, irano-afghan and indid. As theese groups differ quite much.

With a beard & head scarf leads to his Irano-Afghan, Indid, Semitic & Arabid mixed impressions:

Without a beard slowly he starts to look more Balkaner, Albanian & Dinarid looking with just the mustache. ;)

http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/2497/picture2tg.jpg

Without the beard & headscarf he looks to become more of a Dinarid Tosk. ;)

Without the beard, headscarf & mustache his identity is revealed & becomes a full Dinarid Balkaner & looks like a plak mountain Tosk with his deep-set eyes ready to drink some raki. ;):p
